1. Who We Are

130 Showdown is a motorsport event held at Mondello Park, Co. Kildare, Ireland. This website (130showdown.com, including our application system at admin.130showdown.com) is operated by Zigen Promotions Ltd., who is the data controller for the personal data collected through this website — event applications, enquiries and marketing.

Two other organisations are involved in the event but process data independently of us:

  • Mondello Park Ltd. handles ticket sales (through the Ticket Tailor platform) and event operations at the venue. When you buy tickets, Mondello Park is the data controller for your purchase — see their and Ticket Tailor's own privacy policies.
  • James Deane Motorsport Ltd. is the face of the event but does not receive or process any personal data collected through this website or ticket sales.

For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact privacy@130showdown.com.

2. What We Collect

Application forms. Depending on the form, we collect: your name and contact details (email, phone); date of birth, nationality and home town (driver entry); age and date of birth (media accreditation); social media handles; car details including make, model, specification and registration plate; uploaded photos of your car; competition and work history; crew member names; and business details (company name, website, your role) for trade applications.

Contact form. Your name, email, optional phone number and your message.

Marketing sign-up. Where a form offers an optional marketing tick-box (never pre-ticked), your email address and consent record.

Technical data. Our hosting provider keeps short-lived server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and reliability. Our spam-protection service processes connection and browser signals when you submit a form. Cookies and similar technologies are described in section 7.

What we don't collect: ticket purchases happen on Ticket Tailor, operated for Mondello Park Ltd. — we never receive your payment details.

If you name other people in an application (for example crew members), you confirm you have their permission to share their details with us for event administration.

3. Why We Use It (Lawful Bases)

  • Assessing and administering your application — taking steps at your request prior to entering a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and our legitimate interest in running a safe, well-organised event (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Responding to enquiries — our legitimate interest in dealing with correspondence (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Marketing emails — only with your consent via an opt-in tick-box (Art. 6(1)(a)); you can withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us.
  • Spam and abuse prevention — our legitimate interest in protecting our forms and systems (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Analytics and advertising cookies — only with your consent given via the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a)).
  • Legal obligations — where we must retain or disclose information by law (Art. 6(1)(c)).

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. Application decisions are made by people.

4. Who We Share It With

We never sell your personal data. It is shared only with service providers (processors) who help us run the site and event, under contracts that restrict what they can do with it:

  • SiteGround — web hosting for this site and our application system.
  • Amazon Web Services (SES) — delivery of email notifications about your application.
  • Cloudflare (Turnstile) — spam protection on form submissions.
  • Google (Analytics 4) — website usage statistics, only if you consent to analytics cookies. IP addresses are anonymised.
  • Meta Platforms (Meta Pixel) — advertising measurement and audiences, only if you consent to marketing cookies.

Application details are reviewed by the event team involved in judging and administration. Where necessary for event operations (for example accepted driver lists, paddock allocations or accredited media lists), relevant details are shared with Mondello Park Ltd. as event venue and organiser.

5. International Transfers

Our systems are hosted in the EU/EEA. Some of the providers above (Amazon Web Services, Cloudflare, Google, Meta) are US-headquartered and may process limited data outside the EEA. Where that happens, transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. How Long We Keep It

  • Applications and uploads — for the event cycle, deleted no later than 12 months after the event ends, unless law requires longer or you ask us to delete them sooner.
  • Contact enquiries — up to 12 months after the enquiry is resolved.
  • Marketing list — until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent.
  • Server and email logs — short rotation periods set by our providers.
  • Cookie consent record — stored in your browser; we re-ask after 12 months.

7. Cookies & Similar Technologies

On your first visit you must choose how we may use cookies before using the site. Essential storage always works; everything else loads only after you opt in, and you can change your mind at any time:

Cloudflare Turnstile (spam protection) operates without setting tracking cookies. Fonts are served from our own domain — no requests go to font providers.

8. Your Rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us for access to your personal data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, and a portable copy; you can object to processing based on legitimate interests; and where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier processing. You always have an absolute right to object to direct marketing.

To exercise any right, email privacy@130showdown.com. We respond within one month. If you're unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie) or your local supervisory authority.

9. Children

This website and its forms are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Event participation requirements (including minimum ages for drivers) are set out in the event terms.

10. Other Websites

Links to Ticket Tailor, our social channels and other external sites lead to services with their own privacy policies, which we don't control.

11. Changes to This Policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
